Verifying your game's files

If you're encountering issues when launching or playing Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, make sure everything installed correctly.

Start by checking your connection with Steam and then try verifying your game cache. Reboot your computer and test the issue again. If the issue persists, contact Vampire: The Masquerade support.

 

Memory issues on systems with more than 2 gigabytes of RAM

There is a workaround for this issue to allow the this game to run on machines with more than 2GB of RAM.

  1. In Windows, go to Start > Run and type "Msconfig"
  2. Click on the Boot tab and choose Advanced Options. 
  3. Check the Maximum Memory box and change the setting to 2048.
  4. Click OK here and in the remaining menu.
  5. Restart your computer and then re-test the issue.
When you are done playing, please return to the Boot > Advanced Options menu and uncheck the Maximum Memory box, then reboot once more.
